From what I've read, Creative has changed the way the drives are included in the MP3 players (I'm sure Hitachi didn't push them at all). Newer Muvo's have the drive attached in a different way.
Now, if you can find a mini iPod, you can do the same thing, you'll just have to reformat the drive in windows, but you'll be left with a working Microdrive, at least until Apple decides to change their model too...

Thats why Amazon has them "backordered". All these guys are buying a Muvo, they'll open it up and find out you can't do what everyone said they can. Bet you that they can't get the MP3 player back together again. How many returns you think Amazon will have to deal with?
