Okay yeah, so I haven't posted in... like, forever. But this is getting on my nerves.
We were making note during the Superbowl that the ads just aren't funny anymore. It used to be that when the game wasn't very entertaining, at least you could have a good laugh over the commercials. This hasn't been the case for the past couple of years, and now I can understand why.
First Snickers pulls their ad because the gay rights groups were offended by it, and now GM is being lambasted over their robot-committing-suicide ad.
Look, nobody loves gay men more than I do (trust me, they're the best friends a girl could have). But most of the gay people I know wouldn't be offended by something so silly. Why is everyone so damn sensitive these days?
For what its worth, NEITHER ad was very entertaining (in my humble opinion, of course). But the Budweiser ads were at least worth a chuckle and they are being targeted too. For the life of me, I can't think of a single Bud Light commercial that could be construed the least bit offensive. Then again, I'm not easily offended.
I think most Americans should take a lesson on how to take a damn joke from the British. Come on people, LIGHTEN UP!
