...there's a convenience store with an empty magazine rack.
At least, that's the only explanation I can think of for the strange package I received today.
Imagine my surprise when I received a heavy box from Amazon. "That's strange," I thought to myself. "The only things I've ordered from Amazon recently were three pairs of shorts for Xan."
All three of which, by the way, were shipped in separate boxes at different times. But since I ordered enough to qualify for free shipping, I don't really care. Its their dime.
Or in this case, a bit more than a dime--because this box weighed 3 lbs.
I opened the box with curious anticipation. Had I ordered something really good and forgotten about it? No, that's not like me.
Inside the box were dozens of magazines, several of them duplicates. A large packet of some of them were in plastic packaging, obviously a bulk order. Jane... Details (a gay men's magazine)... Travel & Leisure... Street Rod...
Suddenly, I panicked. Had someone gotten a hold of my Amazon account password and had a bunch of random items sent to one of my saved addresses? I ran to my computer and checked my Amazon order status. Nope, just the shorts. So, I checked the tracking number on the box. Sure enough, it matched with one of the packages that was supposed to contain a pair of shorts.
Imagine how confused the owner of that convenience store is going to be when he find's Xan's shorts instead of his monthly magazine order.
