This is justice?

If you want to kill someone, apparently Utah is the place to do it. Convicted murderer Mark Hacking was sentenced to six years to life for murdering his wife and dumping her body in a landfill.

Six years? Are you kidding me?

Its interesting to note that his sentence was increased because he used a firearm. The mandatory sentence for first degree murder in the state of Utah is five years to life.

They had better have some hard-ass parole boards in Utah. If this guy gets out of prison EVER, it will be a travesty.

Don't they still hang you or use a firing squad in Utah? Maybe that's why the life sentence is so much more lenient.

According to this article, hanging was replaced by lethal injection as an option in 1980.

The convicted has a choice between lethal injection or the firing squad, with lethal injection being the method if the person refuses to choose.

Anyway, I wonder what you have to do in Utah to get life in prison without possibility of parole?

Kill a Bishop?
