Ha... the Riverview project passed. I made sure to go out and vote on my way to the doctor's office Tuesday, even though I wasn't feeling well, because I wanted to make sure this measure passed.
I voted in favor of the project for selfish reasons--to get back at the bastards who voted down the Cardinals' stadium being built in the exact same location. They were fighting this, too.
Now, because of them, I have to drive clear over to the other side of town to see a football game starting next season. I could have had it virtually in my own backyard...
If these people think 10 football games a year would have brought undesirable traffic into their neighborhood, just wait until they see what holiday shopping season does for them.
I'll be sure to honk and wish them all a Merry Christmas...

Remember the Good Old Days when tax dollars were used for the people and not corporations or sports ventures?
Corporate welfare for Wal-mart, a company with more money than the GNP of most countries???
I'll just assume you were heavily medicated. :-)
Nope. It was purely for revenge.
