They're saying that all signs point to El Nino this winter, which could mean above average rainfall and snowfall for us in Arizona this winter.
I hope that they're right. While I personally had more than enough rain to last me a lifetime while living in Washington many years ago, we definitely need some moisture here in Arizona. We had very little rain during the monsoon season this year, and our lake levels are dropping again.
The ski resorts are already buzzing about having a banner season this winter.
I remain guardedly optimistic.
