It doesn't really surprise me that Svetlana Khorkina is claiming that the Olympic judging was fixed. She clearly is so self-absorbed that she can't accept the fact that she may not be all she thinks she is.
First of all, why is it that the media praises her for being a graceful beauty? She looks like a lanky fawn taking its first clumsy steps! She's FAR too skinny and she has no chin. Her teammate Anna Pavlova is much prettier than she is, not to mention countless other gymnasts who competed from other countries.
This girl never smiles. She pouted constantly in Sydney, tearing off the silver medal won by the Russian team in disgust as if the rest of her team had let her down. In reality, it was her fall from the uneven bars that cost her team the gold. And another fall in the all-around event in Sydney, costing herself a medal.
Oh yeah... she fell off in the individual event in Athens last night, too.
So Svetlana, I guess you're not as good as you thought you were. Instead of being remembered for what you've accomplished in your sport, you'll now be remembered for your whining and temper tantrums.
Go have a sandwich and take a Paxil. You'll feel much better in the morning.
