Ultimate Honor for the Ultimate Sacrifice

One of John Holmberg's listeners on the 98 KUPD morning show called to suggest that the new stadium be named Pat Tillman Stadium. I can't think of a better way to honor Pat's sacrifice.

Mr. Bidwill: If you want to erase all the bad PR moves of the past, and if you want to win over all those fans who have refused to support the Cardinals, DO THE RIGHT THING.

Pat gave up millions of dollars and HIS LIFE. He proved that fighting for freedom was more important than money. Now, Mr. Bidwill, you need to show that you have a heart. Prove that you, too, believe that some things are more important than money. Forego those hundreds of millions of dollars that will be offered up for naming rights to that stadium and call it what it should be called.

Pat Tillman Stadium.

Not so sure about that. I was lucky enough to go to a class with him and he isn't the kind of guy that would want anything named after him. Not his style. I'm sure naming it veterans stadium or memorial stadium would be better and he might approve.
