Every geek's fantasy: WiFi hotspots littered throughout the city. You walk up to it with your Pocket PC, drop in a quarter and get an IP address.
Sound like a long shot? Not so much.
Soon, WiFi may be the broadband of choice for lots of people at home. Why pay for a wired connection if you're close enough to a hotspot? In fact, that would be a great business venture--to populate residential neighborhoods with hotspots and sell broadband internet service for the price of dial-up. When I win the Powerball, I think I'll give that a go.
I really need a Windows Mobile Pocket PC with built-in WiFi. It would make my life so much easier.
Actually, it would just be one more notch in my lipstick case of geekdom.
