Good timing, Lysa

It seems as though Xan's cousin has sold her Oceanside townhouse just in the nick of time. A well-known UCLA geophysicist is predicting a 6.4 earthquake will rock the area from Los Angeles to Palm Springs sometime before September 5.

You may recall that the big Northridge quake that rocked my childhood stomping grounds was 6.7 in magnitude. This was one of the costliest natural disasters in U.S. history.

These things have a way of slowing down the real estate boom in California. Those who have never experienced one are terrified of earthquakes (those of us who HAVE? Well, think "E" ticket ride...).

Let's just hope the person buying Lysa's place doesn't hear about this before close of escrow.
