Something you don't see every day

While waiting in a crowded drive-thru today at lunch, a police car pulled in behind me. I happened to notice that he had someone in the back seat. This struck me as odd, but I decided it must be a "ride along" kinda deal. Surely he wouldn't be pulling through the drive-thru with someone in custody--would he? Curiosity got the better of me so I listened to his order--one combo meal.

As I pulled out onto the street which ran parallel to the drive-thru, I got a good look at the guy in the back seat. He was leaning forward with his head resting on the back of the passenger seat. His hands clearly appeared to be bound behind his back.

How about THAT for adding insult to injury?

"You're under arrest... by the way, mind if I stop for lunch?"

The least he could've done was ask the guy if he wanted anything. Then again, I guess it would've been hard for him to eat while handcuffed.

It was probably a damn beer runner from one of my stores in the back seat ... serves him right! Would you like fries with that??
